Accessibility Statement
1. Our accessibility commitment
Cute Meals aims to make the website at cutemeals.com usable by everyone, including disabled people and people who rely on assistive technology. We treat accessibility as part of design and development rather than as a fix applied after release.
Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). This statement describes the current status of the site against that target, its known gaps and how to give us feedback.
2. Conformance status
cutemeals.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that most of the site meets the target criteria, but the known limitations listed below have not yet been resolved.
We do not claim full conformance. No independent third-party audit has been carried out; this statement is based on our own internal assessment and contains no unverified conformance claim.
3. Accessibility measures on this site
The following measures are in place on this website:
- A “Skip to content” link for direct keyboard access to the main content
- A clear, high-contrast focus indicator on every interactive element
- Semantic HTML structure: one h1 per page, an ordered heading hierarchy, main / nav / footer landmarks and labelled content sections
- Accessible names on icon-only buttons (menu, theme, language, gallery) and empty alternative text on decorative images
- Descriptive alternative text and captions for informative images
- The page language (lang) and document title update when the language is switched
- Light and dark themes, with text contrast considered in both
- Respect for prefers-reduced-motion: animations are disabled when reduced motion is requested
- Touch targets of at least 44 × 44 pixels
- Visible labels, autocomplete hints and immediately announced errors on form fields
- In-page table of contents navigation for long legal documents
- A scalable layout in relative units, responsive down to 320 pixels wide
4. Known limitations
We know the following areas do not yet fully meet our target and we are working on them:
- Focus management on navigation: the site is a single-page application; when the page changes, focus is not moved to the new content and the change is not separately announced to screen readers.
- Mobile menu: focus is not kept inside the menu while it is open, and the menu cannot be dismissed with the Esc key.
- Screenshot gallery: the horizontal scroll region does not receive keyboard focus directly; navigation is possible only through the previous/next buttons.
- App screenshots: interface text inside the images is summarised in the alternative text rather than provided verbatim.
- End-to-end user testing with screen readers and screen magnification software has not yet been carried out.
5. Assessment approach and scope
This statement covers the marketing and information pages on the cutemeals.com domain. The assessment was carried out through manual source-code review, keyboard navigation testing and browser-based accessibility checks.
The statement was prepared on 20 August 2026 and is updated as the structure of the site changes.
6. Mobile application
This statement covers the website only. A separate accessibility assessment of the Cute Meals mobile application has not yet been completed. After the app is released it will be assessed against iOS and Android platform accessibility features (VoiceOver, TalkBack, dynamic text size, contrast settings) and this statement will be updated.
7. Third-party content
The site uses Google Fonts for typography and links to the app stores. We are not responsible for the accessibility of third-party content and services outside our control. If you encounter a barrier in those resources, tell us and we will try to provide an accessible alternative where possible.
8. Feedback and contact
If you find content or functionality on this site that is not accessible, email contact@cutemeals.com. Including the page address, a short description of the problem and the assistive technology and browser you use helps us resolve it faster.
We aim to respond to feedback within 30 days. If you need content that is not accessible to you, we will try to provide the same information in an accessible form (for example plain text or email) until a permanent fix is in place.
9. Legal framework
This statement is published voluntarily. In Türkiye, the obligation to publish an accessibility statement applies mainly to public-sector websites; Cute Meals is not within that scope.
In the European Union, the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) sets accessibility and information obligations for certain consumer services. If the scope of the Cute Meals service or the size of the business brings it within that regime, this statement will be extended accordingly.
In the United States, accessibility expectations under the ADA form a separate framework, and publishing this statement is not a claim of full compliance with any particular legislation.
